Mummy & Baby Yoga

Mummy & Baby Yoga gives you a unique way of bonding and interacting with your little one, while also making time for your own physical and emotional well-being in the early weeks and months after giving birth.

The classes involve original sets of yoga practices uniquely suited to help you regain your core-strength, your figure and overall fitness after birth by restoring tone to the deep muscles of the pelvis and lower back. You will benefit from gentle yoga postures and sequences which ‘close’ the body and re-knit abdominal muscles, and with the help of yoga breathing, have the additional effect of inducing deeper sleep and reducing postnatal fatigue.  Babies are included completely: interactive mother and baby yoga moves promote ‘active bonding’ (also with dads) in age appropriate ways through the first weeks and months. All these postnatal yoga practices are suitable for mothers who have given birth by caesarean section.  Rather than aiming to resume a gym or yoga routine as early as possible, these classes invite mothers to create a new foundation for better fitness while being energised from within and enjoying their babies fully. More dynamic yoga poses and moves are also offered to make a safe transition to general yoga or other forms of exercise with long term benefits for women’s health.
